Waste

  • Waste Regulation

The Waste Regulation Section of Cork County Council is part of the Environment Department. It is involved in the provision of a number of key local authority services. Its core functions in County Cork are as follows:

    • Regulation of waste related activities
    • Waste enforcement

In addition, the Waste Regulation section is involved in the delivery of information on waste management options and best practice to the public and the implementation of waste management policy, plans and minimisation programmes.

The section is not directly involved in the operation of Cork County Council's waste/sanitary activities, though it does aim to provide information on access to those services.
