Choral Music Library
The range of material available covers unison and part-songs in almost every possible voice combination. The music is in both sheet format and in book form, e.g. anthologies or major works. There are motets, madrigals, masses etc. While on the lighter side we have folksongs and ballads, spiritual, songs from shows etc. In our separate children's section there are rounds, movement songs, folk songs, little musicals, Christmas carols and so on. There is a stock of approximately 15,000 pieces and it will continue to expand in the future.
Collections and Donations
Every year the Library receives copies of music submitted for the Cork Choral Festival, kindly donated by the Choral Committee. Also from time to time, private individuals have some or all of their personal collections to us. This often means that previously unpublished musical arrangements are now available.
