 Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of Part XI of the Planning & Development Act, 2000 (as amended) and in accordance with the requirements of Part 8, Article 81 and Article 83 of the Planning & Development Regulations, 2001 (as amended) that Cork County Council proposes to undertake the following development:

Kinsale Public Toilets

Location

Town-Plots, Kinsale, Co. Cork.

Nature and Extent of Development

An overview of the proposed development includes the following:

  • The installation of two number unisex public toilets and one number disabled access public toilet and storeroom within existing building footprint at Town-Plots.
  • Conservation works to existing stone walls.
  • Roofing works to extent of existing building and any ancillary works necessary for the provision of public toilets.

Plans and Particulars of the proposed development may be inspected online or at the location detailed above from Tuesday May 7th 2024 until Wednesday 5th June 2024.

Submissions or Observations

A submission or observation in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made:

  2. or, in writing, to the Municipal District Officer, Cork County Council, Kinsale Municipal Hall, St. John’s Hill, Kinsale, Co. Cork before 4 pm on Wednesday 19th June.

As per Article 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening determination has been made and a determination has been made that an EIA is not required. In accordance with Article 120 (3), as amended by S.I. No. 296 of 2018, a person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice, apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment. Such a submission should be addressed to the Secretary, An Bord Pleanála, 64, Marlborough Street, Dublin, 1.
