Cork County Council’s Historic Monuments Advisory Committee (HMAC) sets out to provide advice and assistance in the preservation and protection of archaeological monuments in the County of Cork. With such schemes as the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (BHIS); the Historic Structures Fund (HSF) and the Community Monuments Fund (CMF), potential applicants have opportunities to apply for funding in respect of archaeological monuments, protected structures, vernacular buildings and buildings located within Architectural Conservation Areas (ACAs).
These grant schemes are presently open for applications from the public and the Council’s HMAC has organised a workshop to advise and assist potential applicants by giving an overview of each scheme; the application process and on completing the applications themselves – with ample time built in for a Q&A session at the end with Cork County Council’s Heritage Unit.
While there is no charge for the event, places are limited, and will be offered on a first come first served basis. Interested parties are requested to confirm their interest by emailing their details to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to 5pm on Monday 6th December 2021. The link will be sent out on Wednesday 8th December.
