Choeur Azimuts

Choeur Azimuts is a young adult choir based in Lille in the North of France. Founded in 2013 by Madeleine Saur, its current director, the choir comprises about 30 singers.

Azimuts’s repertoire is a mix of contemporary choral music and revisited traditional music. The choir performs 2-3 times a year in the north of France and Belgium. This is their first visit to Cork

Screening of Movie Memories

Supported by Cork County Council through the Creative Ireland Programme, a wonderful documentary by Gwenda Young and Dan O'Connell of U.C.C., looking at the movie theatre going culture of County Cork, has been put together.

This is called Movie Memories and has been most warmly received all around. The feature will screen in Kanturk on Friday May 17th 2019 at 8pm. All welcome and for more information visit www.moviememories.ie.

‘Crossword’ - a new Play commissioned by County Council to tour County Cork in May

A new play, from accomplished Cork playwright Katie Holly, has been commissioned by Cork County Council’s Arts office in association with the library service as part of the Bealtaine festival. The play, titled Crossword, will commence a tour of library branches across the county during late May with free admission for all.

New for 2019, this short retail support programme is designed to give consumer facing businesses expert advice and new ideas which will facilitate sales growth within a business. Available to all consumer-facing businesses including Retailers from all sectors, Cafes, Restaurants and foodservice outlets, Hotels, Beauty salons, Hairdressers & Barbers, Opticians, Gyms and other service providers.  Open to those businesses based in: Bantry, Glengarriff, Drimoleague, Durrus, and Kealkill. Women in Enterprise Seminar – Lead Yourself, Lead your Business, Lead your Future

A free Women in Enterprise Seminar will be held in Cork on Tuesday 28th May from 6:00pm – 7:45pm in the AIB branch in Mallow. The seminar hosted by AIB in partnership with the Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West, is entitled “Lead yourself, Lead your Business, Lead your Future” and will focus on the importance of management, planning and leadership to ensure the foundations are in place for a successful future in business no matter what sector.  

There will be a number of presentations from experts followed by a panel discussion.
