New Look Tip O’Neill Park in Mallow Unveiled

Following an extensive programme of upgrades and improvement works, Tip O’Neill Park in Mallow has reopened to the public this week.

Works undertaken by Cork County Council enhance and improve the presentation and comfort of the park as well as providing enhanced connectivity between Mallow Town Centre and Mallow Castle, encouraging visitors to spend time discovering all that Mallow has to offer.

The project has included extensive improvement works including landscaping of the park entrance and paths; a new water feature featuring foam jets and lighting; new light columns and semi-mature trees along the main route through the park; new directional and interpretive signage; bike stands and seating.

These works follow the recent opening of the new inclusive ‘fairytale’ playground on the grounds of Mallow Castle and form part of the Council’s wider framework plans for an integrated park network, landmark amenity and tourist destination for Mallow Castle Park, Mallow Town Park and the Spa House Park.

The development was designed and overseen by Brady Shipman Martin and construction works were completed by Vision Contracting Ltd.
