ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L1516 (Section of), Ballyoran, Castlelyons, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday, 11th October 2021 to 17:00hrs on Friday, 15th October 2021
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass.

Alternative Routes
For traffic heading east, stay on the R639-289 and divert via the L1515 via College Road, Fermoy and Strawhall to Kenny’s Cross.

For traffic heading west, divert south via Castlelyons on the L1518, divert west via the L1520 via Rathcormac and north via the R639.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-115-2021, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 10th September 2021. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
