Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:- 

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-93081 West Square, Macroom, Co. Cork – (Part Of - east side only from its junction with the N22 to its junction with South Square L-9308-0 Macroom.) 

Period of Proposed Closure 
From 00:00hrs to 23.59hrs on Tuesday 7th December 2021 (Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Free Market in West Square, Macroom.

Alternative Routes
Eastbound at junction of L-93081 West Square and the N22 continue East along N22.  Turn right onto L-9308 South Square, continue West and turn right onto L-93081 West Square and continue to the junction with the N22.

Westbound on the N22, at the junction of the L-9308 South Square and the N22, turn left onto the L-9308 South Square, continue West and turn right onto the L-93081 West Square and continue to the junction with the N22.

No local access for the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-135-2021, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 10th November 2021.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-2055-0, Bridge Lane, Bandon, Co. Cork (from its junction with South Main Street to its junction with Market Quay).
Period of Proposed Closure 
From 08:00hrs on Monday 13th December 2021 to 08:00hrs on Monday 12th December 2022 (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
Temporary pedestrianisation of streets to assist both with National Social Distancing Guidelines, the re-opening of businesses, while the overall objective is to create Pedestrian Priority Zones within the Town Centre thereby promoting a Safe Environment on our public streets that is mutually beneficial to both the Town’s people, visitors and businesses.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access Bridge Lane from its South Main Street Junction, will divert onto Pearse Street (R-603-0), shall now be allowed to turn right onto L-2057-0 in the direction of St Patrick’s Quay, follow the street as approaching the road closure from the opposite side. 
Traffic intending to access Bridge Lane from its south junction, will be diverted west along St Patrick’s Quay (L-2057-0), then turn right onto Market Street (R-603-0), then turn right on to South Main Street (R603-0), continue on as approaching the closed street from the opposite side.
Access to car park on Bridge Lane will remain.
