Update from Cork County Council Fire in Ringaskiddy 10/01/2021 7.00PM (Bilingual)

Cork County Council can confirm that crews from Crosshaven and Carrigaline were joined by crews from Midleton and Cobh Fire Station today.

The Fire Service continued to manage the fire which occurred in a grain storage facility at the R and H Hall site in Ringaskiddy on Saturday morning.

Throughout the day, fire service crews have been exposing, dampening and extinguishing any hot spots within the storage facility.

This natural, organic animal feed will continue to smoulder until it is removed from its current position.

Cork County Council would like to again reassure members of the public that all operations are being carried out in a highly controlled manner.

The Council can also confirm that Fire Crews will remain on site throughout the night.

Is féidir le Comhairle Contae Chorcaí a dhearbhú go raibh criúnna ó Stáisiún Dóiteáin Mhainistir na Corann agus Stáisiún Cóbh in éineacht le foirne ó Bhun an Tábhairne  agus Carraig Ui Leighin inniu.

Lean an tSeirbhís Dóiteáin ar aghaidh ag bainistiú na tine a tharla i saoráid stórála gráin ar shuíomh  R & H Hall i Rinn an Scidígh maidin Dé Sathairn.

I rith an lae, bhí foirne na seirbhíse dóiteáin ag nochtadh, ag maolú agus ag múchadh aon spotaí te laistigh den tsaoráid stórála.

Leanfaidh an bia nádúrtha, orgánach ainmhithe seo ag cnádú go dtí go mbainfear den áit ina bhfuil sí faoi láthair.

Ba mhaith le Comhairle Contae Chorcaí a chur in iúl arís don phobal go bhfuil gach oibríocht á déanamh ar bhealach ana-rialaithe.

Is féidir leis an gComhairle a dhearbhú freisin go bhfanfaidh na Foirne Dóiteáin ar an láithreán i rith na hoíche.
