ROADWORKS SPEED LIMIT ORDER

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 10 (1) of the Road Traffic Act 2004, as amended, that a Road Works Speed Limit Order has been made in the interests of road safety and to facilitate the repair works to the central median safety barrier following an overturned truck incident on 7th December 2021.  

Location:

Single Lane on the M8 Rathcormac Fermoy By Pass Scheme – Blackwater Viaduct.

The Road Works Speed Limit to be applied shall be 60km/h (reduced from 120 km/h)

This speed limit applies from 08.00hrs on 24th December, 2021 to 23.59hrs on 28th February, 2022 or such earlier date as determined by Cork County Council.

Relevant speed limit signs will be in place.

Regard shall be given to any representations made in writing to the undersigned in relation to this Road Works Speed Limit Order.
