NOTICE OF RATES HAVING BEEN MADE

Notice is hereby given that County Rates have been duly made on the property rateable thereto in the above-named County Health Districts of North Cork, South Cork and West Cork.   The annual rates on valuation (formerly rates in the pound) for the ordinary expenditure of the County Health Districts for the service of the financial year ending on the 31st day of December 2022 are respectively:

76.99 on the County Health District of North Cork.
76.99 on the County Health District of South Cork.
76.99 on the County Health District of West Cork.

The rate books are now in my custody and may be inspected by any person affected thereby at the offices of the Cork County Council, Rates Department, Floor 6, County Hall, Cork, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and Bank /Public Holidays, by appointment.   The said rates will be payable from and after the publication of this notice.

Under Section 7(1) of the Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1978, any person who is aggrieved at the failure of a rating authority to make him an allowance under that Act or who believes that he is entitled to a different allowance to that made to him may, within 2 months of the date of the making of the rate, request the rating authority in writing to grant the appropriate allowance.   In case the request is not complied with within 28 days the person may, within 4 months of the date of the making of the rate, apply to the District Court to have the appropriate allowance made.

The above rates were made on 15th February 2022.   Any request in respect of them under Section 7(1) of the Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1978, must therefore be made to Cork County Council not later than 14th April 2022.   Any application to the District Court under the same provision must be made not later than 14th June 2022.
