Notice Of Rates Having Been Made

Notice is hereby given that County Rates have been duly made on the property rateable thereto in the above-named County Health Districts of North Cork, South Cork, and West Cork. The annual rates on valuation (formerly rates in the pound) for the ordinary expenditure of the County Health Districts for the service of the financial year ending on the 31st day of December 2023 are respectively:

79.68 on the County Health District of North Cork.

79.68 on the County Health District of South Cork.

79.68 on the County Health District of West Cork.

County Charges by District

North Cork - 79.68 

South Cork - 79.68     

West Cork - 79.68 

The rate books are now in my custody and may be inspected by any person affected thereby at the offices of the Cork County Council, Rates Department, Floor 6, County Hall, Cork, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and Bank /Public Holidays, by appointment.   The said rates will be payable from and after the publication of this notice.

Under Section 7(1) of the Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1978, any person who is aggrieved at the failure of a rating authority to make him an allowance under that Act or who believes that he is entitled to a different allowance to that made to him may, within 2 months of the date of the making of the rate, request the rating authority in writing to grant the appropriate allowance.   In case the request is not complied with within 28 days the person may, within 4 months of the date of the making of the rate, apply to the District Court to have the appropriate allowance made.

The above rates were made on 21st February 2023.   Any request in respect of them under Section 7(1) of the Local Government (Financial Provisions) Act, 1978, must therefore be made to Cork County Council not later than 20th April 2023.   Any application to the District Court under the same provision must be made not later than 20th June 2023.

Tá na leabhair rátaí faoi mo chúram anois agus is féidir le haon duine dá ndéanfaidh sé difear dóibh iad a iniúchadh ag oifigí Chomhairle Contae Chorcaí, Rannóg na Rátaí, Urlár 6, Halla an Chontae, Corcaigh, idir na huaireanta 10 rn agus 4 in trí choinne, seachas Dé Sathairn, Domhnach agus Laethanta Saoire Bainc/Poiblí. Beidh na rátaí sin iníoctha ó fhoilsiú an fhógra seo ar aghaidh.

Faoi Alt 7(1) den Acht Rialtais Áitiúil (Forálacha Airgeadais), 1978, aon duine arb éagóir leis mainneachtain údaráis rátúcháin liúntas a thabhairt dó faoin Acht sin nó a chreideann go bhfuil sé i dteideal liúntais eile a fháil,  féadfaidh an méid a thabharfar dó, laistigh de 2 mhí ó dháta déanta an ráta, a iarraidh i scríbhinn ar an údarás rátúcháin an liúntas iomchuí a dheonú. I gcás nach gcomhlíontar an t-iarratas laistigh de 28 lá féadfaidh an duine iarratas a dhéanamh chuig an gCúirt Dúiche, laistigh de 4 mhí ó dháta déanta an ráta, chun an liúntas cuí a fháil.

Rinneadh na rátaí thuas an 21 Feabhra 2023. Ní mór aon iarratas ina leith, faoi Alt 7(1) den Acht Rialtais Áitiúil (Forálacha Airgeadais), 1978, a dhéanamh chuig Comhairle Contae Chorcaí tráth nach déanaí ná an 20 Aibreán 2023. Caithfear aon iarratas chun na Cúirte Dúiche, faoin bhforáil chéanna, a dhéanamh tráth nach déanaí ná an 20 Meitheamh 2023.
