Brexit Temporary Fleet Tie Up Scheme – requirements for berthing at Cork County Council harbours or piers
Masters or owners of vessels who wish to avail of the Brexit Temporary Fleet Tie Up Scheme and tie up at a Cork County Council harbour are required to contact the Harbour Master in advance and no later than 48 hours prior to the beginning of tie up period. Subject to availability, the Harbour Master may allocate a berth.
Mariners are also advised that, due to a sunken vessel at Keelbeg pier, tie up under the scheme may not be possible in Union Hall.
Furthermore, the master or owner of a vessel who wishes to disable a vessel means of propulsion or otherwise render a vessel unseaworthy for a period of more than 4 hours is required get written approval from Cork County Council prior to taking such an action.
