Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

R620-28, Ballydaheen, Mallow, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday 3rd April 2023 to 19:00hrs on Friday 7th April 2023.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate road reinstatement works.
Alternative Routes
At Mallow Bridge (North side) turn right onto the N72 Park Road and continue to Annabella Roundabout. Turn left onto the N20 and continue out to the right turnoff to the R638. Continue on this road and at Merritt’s Corner continue onto the R620 Old Cork Road.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-20-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 28th February 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
