Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

M8 Motorway – Junction 14 Northbound on ramp on the M8 Motorway, Fermoy, Co. Cork.

Periods of Proposed Closure 

1.  From 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs (Nightly Closure) on Wednesday 12th April 2023 to Friday 14th April 2023.

AND

2.  From 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs (Nightly Closure) on Monday 17th April 2023 to Wednesday 19th April 2023.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Renew filter drain works.

Alternative Routes

Divert to Northbound on ramp at Junction 13 on the M8 motorway via the R639 (Old Dublin Road)

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-27-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 1st March 203.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
