Temporary Closing of Public Roads
CORK COUNTY COUNCIL, ROADS ACT, 1993, TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-2019-0 Carhoon East/Killountain, Bandon, Co. Cork – part – including Baxters Bridge – from its junction with R586 to its junction with the L-2018-0).
Period of Proposed Closure
From 19:30hrs to 07:00hrs (Nightly Closure) on Monday 8th May 2023 to Friday 30th June 2023.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate watermain construction.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access the L-2019 from the north side, shall divert east along the R586-25, R586-12 and R586-0 to Bandon. At Bridge Place turn left onto Glasslinn Road, take the 2nd road exit at the Roundabout onto Bandon Bypass, (N71-102 and then N71-1018), at the next junction turn right onto N71-1013, turn left at the mini roundabout onto N71-1001 followed by the N71-993 and N71-982 at Knockaveale turn right onto the L-2019-0, follow the road to approach the closed road from the opposite side.
The stated diversion is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC- 34 -2023, not later than 5:00pm on Wednesday 19th April 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4641-33, Clooncorban, Rossmore, Clonakilty, Co. Cork – part – from junction east of Kilmeen Bridge to Liscubba Cross West.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday 3rd July 2023 to 18:00hrs on Saturday 15th July 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Construct a cattle underpass.
Alternative Routes
Travelling south take L-8601-0 east to Carhoovauler Cross Roads, take L-8599-0 south to Liscubba Cross Roads and turn west to join L-4641-33.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

L-4003-19, L-4003-0, Nellie Teehans’s Cross Roads to Tullyneasky West Four Cross Roads, Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:30hrs on Monday 8th May 2023 to 20:00hrs on Sunday 18th June 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Improvement Works.
Alternative Routes
Travelling South – Take L-4003-19 north to Keohanes Cross, take R599 towards Clonakilty to Dunmanway junction at Ballyduvane, take N71 west to Tulligee and L4003-0 north to rejoin L-4003.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

LP-1223 Mallow to Killavullen Road, Mallow, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 8th May 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 24th November 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Install new Watermain.
Alternative Routes
At Mallow Bridge traffic travelling from Mallow to Killavullen, travel northwards on the R620 and onto N72 and follow the N72 to the Rea’s Cross. Turn right onto L-1226 at Rea’s Cross and continue to Killavullen village.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
