Temporary Closing of Public Roads
CORK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROADS ACT, 1993
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the periods and reason specified below.
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4011-62 (Part of) Youghals, Clonakilty, Co. Cork - at Sliabh na mBan Housing Development on the Clonakilty to Ardfield Road.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00hrs on Monday 15th May, 2023 to 18.00hrs on Friday 26th May,
2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of New Watermain, Tie Connection & Valves.
Alternative Routes
Southbound Traffic - take N71 east to Clonakilty Distillery. Turn right onto Inchydoney Road (L-4013-0), travelling south to Inchydoney Short Causeway (L-4014-0), turn right and travel west to L-4011-62.
Northbound Traffic - take L-8047-0 west to Carhoo Crossroads, turn right on to L-4007-52 and continue to N71 at Ladies Cross. Turn right on N71 and travel east to rejoin L-4011-62.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-57-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 26th April, 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Trácht atá ag dul ó thuaidh – tóg an L-8047-0 thiar go dtí Crosbhóthar na Ceathrún, cas ar dheis ar L-4007-52 agus lean ar aghaidh go dtí N71 ag Crois na mBan. Cas ar dheis ar N71 agus taistil thoir chun filleadh ar L-4011-62.
