Temporary Closing of Public Roads
CORK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROADS ACT, 1993
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
Section of L-1513, Pike Road, Fermoy, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 21st August 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 25th August 2023.
(24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Connection of water and sewers to new housing development.
Alternative Routes
For traffic heading south, divert west via the Beechfield Road, L1514, continue south along the R639-310 and head east at its junction at Rathealy Road, R666.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-113-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 4th July 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Tuesday 8th August 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 25th August 2023.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate road resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
For traffic heading West coming from the Conna side, stay on the R628, divert Northwards on the L1519 at O’Leary’s Cross, then onwards to L1518 via Castlelyons, returning on the L1516 at Kenny’s Cross.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure at Night for Residents and Emergency Services

Section of R-513-137, Lower Cork Street, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork – (between Clonmel Road Junction & Robert Street Junction).
Period of Proposed Closure
From 11:00hrs to 15:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Saturday 5th August 2023.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Crowd Management for Busking Festival.
Alternative Routes
For traffic heading South, detour west via Baldwin Street, L-1437, continue South via Georges Street, L-1440 and east via Church Street, R-665-8.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
