Temporary Closing of Public Roads
CORK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROADS ACT, 1993
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R605 Shippool, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 10:00hrs on Monday 14th August 2023 to 22:00hrs on Friday 8th September 2023.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Safety Improvement Works.
Alternative Routes
L3201 and L305.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC 131-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 12th July 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs to 20.00hrs (Daily) from Tuesday 8th August, 2023 to Tuesday 15th August, 2023.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing.
Alternative Routes
Northbound traffic from R-585: Remain on R-585 to Crookstown. Follow R-590 north to junction with N22. Follow N22 west to Lissarda.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-120-2023, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 12th July, 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
