TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R600 Burren Coast Road, Kilbrittain, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 11th September 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 6th October 2023.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate road embankment stabilization works.
Alternative Routes
Travelling west along the R600 approaching Garranafeen causeway, divert along the R603 to Bandon, follow diversion along N71 and onto R602 at Roundhill Service Station (Bandon) for Timoleague until it intersects the R600 at the
coast road at Timoleague.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-136-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 26th July 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 14th August 2023 to 20:00hrs on Monday 11th September 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.
Alternative Routes
On R-619 continue travelling on R-619 to junction with R-620-28, Mallow Bridge. At Mallow Bridge turn right to R-620-28 (Ballydaheen/Cork Road) and continue to junction with L-1244-0.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 14th August 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 18th August 2023.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Water Service Connection Works.
Alternative Routes
Northbound Diversion – Drivers will be diverted left onto L-3234-0 and will be instructed to continue on this road for approximately 1km where they will then be diverted right onto R605-98. They will be instructed to travel on R-605-98 for approximately 650m where they will be diverted left, continuing on this road for 300m, where the northbound diversion route will end.
Southbound Diversion – Drivers will be instructed to turn left onto R-605-98 and continue to the end of that road where they will be diverted left onto L-3234-0. The driver will continue on L-3234-0 until the end of that road where the diversion route will end.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

L-9721-0, Mini Manor, The Ramparts, Kinsale, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 14th August 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 18th August 2023.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate a waste water connection.
Alternative Routes
Southbound diversion – Drivers will be instructed to continue onto L-9720-0; after approximately 200m they will be instructed to yield at a flag man. Following this, drivers will be diverted left onto L-97200-0. At the end of L-97200-0 they will be diverted right onto R-600-196 where they will travel for 200m. Drivers will then be diverted left onto L-9724-0 Denis Quay, where they will travel for approximately 70m before the diversion route will end.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
