Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L2766-67, Pipe House Cross to Courtbrack, Blarney
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on 28/08/2023 to 18:00hrs on 08/09/2023.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate road improvement works.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling South along the L2766 towards Courtbrack should divert at the cross North of Pipe House Cross Roads by continuing straight onto the L-2773. Traffic should stay on this road (L-2773/Waterloo Road) until the junction with R617 in Blarney. At the junction traffic should turn right onto the R617 and follow the road until Shournagh Cross Roads. At the cross traffic should turn right onto Shournagh Road/L-2764 and continue until Fox’s Bridge Cross. There, vehicles should turn right onto the L-2766 and continue to Courtbrack.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-145-2023, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 15th August, 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L 4638-28, Inchinattin, Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 18th September 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 27th October 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Install New Watermain.
Alternative Routes
Via R599 towards Clonakilty, turn right onto L4001 towards Reenascreena and turn right onto L8002 to the L4638.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-158-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 16th August 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
