Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-1228, Mill Road, Castletownroche, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 18th September 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 27th October 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Installation of a New Watermain.
Alternative Routes
When intending to head south bound continue eastbound through Castletownroche village and follow the N72. At the junction of the N72 and the L-1225 turn right and continue along the L-1225. To head south bound turn left at Bridgetown junction onto the L-5411.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-157-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 22nd August 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L3815 (part of) Ballybutler Ladysbridge, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 11th September, 2023 to 17:00hrs on Friday 15th September, 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate The Construction of a Cattle Underpass, Effluent Holding Tank and All Associated Works.
Alternative Routes
From Mullins Cross, Garryvoe travelling towards Kilcredan (L3815) - At the T-junction take the L3819 to the right. Travel along this road and take a left on the L7868 which leads to a T-junction where you will STOP. You are then back on the closed road (L3815).
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday, 25th September 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday, 20th October 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Installation of a New Watermain.
Alternative Routes
When travelling on the L-1418 (Brigown Road), continue towards Mitchelstown. Turn left onto the R-513 at the 4-crossroads. Take a left onto the L-5658 (Ballybeg Road).
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6069-38 (Part of), Skevanish & Laherfineen, Innishannon, Co. Cork - from its junction with the N71 to its junction with the L-6066-0 (works area contained approximately from The Spires pedestrian access path junction for 190 metres in a north-west direction).
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 25th September, 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 6th October, 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Watermain Connection.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access the L-6069-38 from the N71 shall divert east along the N71-1060, then turn left onto Church Hill (L-2037-24), turn left at Joan Bantry’s Cross onto L-2037-0, turn left onto L-6066-0, then follow the road to approach the closed road from the opposite side. The stated diversion is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained where possible.
