Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4407-0 (Part of), Colla Road, Schull, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday, 30th October 2023 to 20:00hrs Saturday, 11th November 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Repairs.
Alternative Routes
From the west: proceed along Main Street (R592) and turn left onto Pier Road / South Terrace (L-4411-0). Proceed along Pier Road/ South Terrace to the junction of South Terrace and Colla Road (L-4407-0). Turn left onto Colla Road. End of diversion.
From Colla Road: follow the above directions, in reverse.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-168-2023, not later than 5pm on Wednesday 30th August, 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 13:00hrs to 18.00hrs on Sunday, 8th October 2023 (one day only).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Vintage Threshing Festival.
Alternative Routes
From Bantry - divert east onto L-8737-0, L8280-0 and L-4233-0 to rejoin with R594.
From Skibbereen - divert west onto L-8730, L-8731, L-8733 and L8734 to rejoin the R594.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

R624-91 (Part of) Harbour Row, Cobh, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 2nd October, 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 27th October, 2023 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Installation of a New Watermain and Services.
Alternative Routes
Travelling Westwards: Travel along the L-9621, Harbour View, onto Wolfe Tone Street and onto Cathedral Place. At the T-junction, turn right onto L-2990, Sandymount Road. At the crossroads, turn left onto Cannon O’Leary Place (L-2990). Finally turn onto Spy Hill/Bishops Road (L-2978).
Travelling Eastwards: Travel up Spy Hill (L-2978) and continue onto Park View (L-2990). At T-junction, turn right onto Park Lane (L-2990). Take next right turn onto Middle Street (L-2989). At crossroads, turn left onto John O’Connell Street (L-9620). Take next left onto Thomas Kent Street (L-9620). Take next right turn onto Bishop Street (L-2992) and continue to Carrignafoy Avenue (L-2992). Finally at the roundabout turn right onto R-624 onto East Hill and continue to Harbour Row.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
