TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L6830-0, Birch Hill, Grenagh, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 6th November 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 10th November 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate installation of a culvert.
Traffic travelling South from Grenagh along the L2772-0 towards Birch Hill should divert by turning left at Quarryhall Cross onto the L-2771-31. Then traffic should continue along the L-2771-31 and L-6832-8 until the junction with Waterloo Road. At the junction traffic should turn right onto Waterloo Road/L-2773-48 and continue until the junction with L-6830-0.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-188-2023, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 3rd October 2023. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
