Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R585, Dunmanway, Co. Cork – Part of the R585 from its junction with the L-4607-75 at Inchincurka for a distance of 3709m to Togher Junction(L8542), in the West in the townlands Togher, Corranig, Dromdeegy, Dromlough, Inchincurka, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 09.30hrs to 19.00hrs on Wednesday 23rd March 2022 (Daily Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate replacement of surface water drainage pipe.
Alternative Routes
Travelling from Cork to Castletownbere at Shanlaragh take R587 to Dunmanway and turn right onto the R586 and continue on this route via Drimoleague to meet the N71 at Ballydehob Cross. Keep right on the N71, through Banty Town, until junction with R584 at Ballylickey. Turn right onto the R584 to Kealkill. In Kealkill turn right on to R585 to Togher junction.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-12-2022, not later than 5.00pm Thursday 3rd February 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L3806-0, Gortnagappul, Killeagh, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 21st March 2022 to 24.00hrs on Sunday 27th March 2022. (24hr Closure.)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of a cattle underpass.
Alternative Routes
From Killeagh travelling to Mount Uniacke continue along the N25 towards Youghal, take the second road to the left L-7843-24, continue until coming to a STOP at a T-Junction, take left turn and continue along the L3807 to STOP T-Junction which is in Mount Uniacke.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-145-2021, not later than 5.00pm on Thursday 3rd February 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
