TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

 

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-7427 – Tonn Láin (Toonlane - East), Co. Cork.

 

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.00hrs on Monday 28th February 2022 to 20.00hrs on Friday 27th May 2022

(24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate works on the N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Bye-pass.

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic from Baile Bhuirne to Tonn Láin shall continue on the N22 to the junction with the L-7427 at Cúil na Cathrach and turn left onto the L-7427 to Tonn Láin

 

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

 

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-08-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 8th February 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

From 07:00hrs on Monday 28th February 2022 to 19:00hrs on Friday 29th April 2022

(24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate pipeline construction.

 

Alternative Routes

As Westbrook Court is a Cul De Sac no alternative route is available.

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate pipeline construction.

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic on the N72-380 shall divert along the N72-380 to the R883-0 Main St.

Traffic on the R883-0 shall divert to the N72-380 via the N72-385 Bridge St.

From 12.00hrs to 16.00hrs on Sunday 20th March 2022 (Daily Closure).

 

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Mallow 10 Mile Road Race.

 

Alternative Routes

Millstreet (R619-399) traffic will divert via Church View (L1244-0) onto Cork Road (R620-28).

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-2494- Robertstown, Carrigaline, Co. Cork.

 

Period of Proposed Closure

From 00:00hrs on Monday 25th April 2022 to 23.59hrs on Friday 29th April 2022.

(24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate construction of a cattle underpass.

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling South on the R611 wishing to access locations west of the closure area should proceed along the R611 in a Southerly direction to its junction with the L-6497, turn right, and proceed in a Westerly direction to junction with L-2494 – traffic should turn right and proceed in a Northerly direction along L-2494.

 

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

 

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
