Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6272 at Ballyshoneen, Waterfall, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 28th March 2022 to 18.00hrs on Friday 22nd April 2022.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate installation of a watermain.
Alternative Routes
Take L6272, turn right onto L-2220 at Maglin Cross and onto L-2225 at Ballyshoneen Cross. Turn right onto L-6279 to Jimmie’s Cross and continue onto L6276, turning right at Corbally Cross.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-15-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 11th February 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday 7th March 2022 to 00:00hrs on Friday 1st April 2022.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Reconstruction and Overlay Works.
Alternative Routes
When travelling from Carrigaline along the R612 turn right at O’Leary’s Cross and continue on the R612 towards Duggan’s Cross and turn right into Brightwater and on to Crosshaven Village.
When travelling from Crosshaven come through Brightwater and turn left on to Duggan’s Cross and travel along the R612 until O’Leary’s Cross and turn left for Carrigaline.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-19-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 11th February 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
