TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R600, Glinny, Riverstick, Co Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 18th April 2022 to 17:00hrs on Friday 22nd April 2022
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass

Alternative Routes
The proposed main traffic diversion route is via Pewterhole Cross, Rising Sun, Halfway, Ballinhassig and Fivemilebridge R600, L3231, L3232, R607, N71 and R613.
The proposed Bus Eireann Route is via: L3206, L3203 and R613 Ballymartle, Ballinhassig, and Fivemilebridge with alternative Bus Eirean Route via L3206, R607, N71 and R613, Ballymartle, Rising Sun, Halfway, Ballinhassig and Fivemilebridge.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-05-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 23rd February 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Roads Subject of Proposed Closure
L-4016-0, Darrara & Ballintemple, Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
Phase I: - L-4016-0 (Part), from its junction with R600-521 to its junction with L-4015-27 at Darrara Church Cross Roads.
Phase II: - L-4016-0 (Part), from its junction with L-4015-27 at Darrara Church Cross Roads to its junction south with L-4018.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Friday 25th March 2022 to 18:00hrs on Thursday 14th April 2022. (24hr Closure).
Either Phase I or Phase II may be implemented at any stage within the stated timeframe.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate watermain construction.

Alternative Routes
Phase I: Traffic intending to access L-4016-0 from R600 at Ballymacowen, shall divert east along R600-505, at Clashflugh Cross Roads divert right onto L-4015-40, follow the road to approach road closure from opposite side.

Phase II: Traffic intending to travel south on the L-4016-0 at Darrara Church Cross Roads, shall divert west onto L-4015-27, then turn left onto L-4018 at Arundelmills Cross Roads, follow the road to approach road closure from opposite side.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-21-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 23rd February 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
R-571 Ardgroom and Eyeries Villages, Castletownbere, Co. Cork. (Regional road between the junction of the R-571-106 and L-95713-2 at Faunkil and the Woods to the junction of the R-571-48 and L-4908-2 at Inches, between Ardgroom and Eyeries Villages.)

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 21st March 2022 to 18.00hrs on Friday 20th May 2022.
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the replacement of the watermain between Glenbeg Lake and Castletownbere Reservoir.

Alternative Routes
Alternative route shall be on the R-571 from Ardgroom Village to Kenmare, the N-71 from Kenmare to Glengarriff, the R-572 from Glengarriff to Castletownbere and the R-571 from Castletownbere to Eyeries.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
As works progress it will be possible for traffic to use local diversions, however these local diversions will not be suitable for heavy goods vehicles.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-14-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 23rd February 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
