TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L1031-14 Tullylease New Cemetery Cross-Keeffes Cross, Tullylease, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00hrs on Monday 23rd May 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 27th May 2022
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Cattle Underpass Installation.

Alternative Routes
Traffic will be diverted along the L1030 to Keatings Cross. Traffic will take a left onto L1034 and continue onto Pound Cross/Gaa pitch junction. Traffic will then take a right onto L1038 and continue through Tullylease Village onto Tullylease New Cemetery Cross. End of Diversion.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access may be given to dwellings to East of road closure for access during works if required.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-25-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 8th March 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

R620 Ballydaheen, Mallow, Co. Cork – From Mallow Bridge (South side) to the Traffic lights at the top of Ballydaheen.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs on Saturday 9th April 2022 to 19.00hrs on Sunday 24th April 2022.
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Pipeline Construction.

Alternative Routes
At Mallow Bridge (North side) turn right onto the N72 Park Road and continue to Annabella Roundabout. Turn left onto the N20 and continue out to the right turnoff to the R638. Continue on this road and at Merritt’s Corner continue onto the R620 Old Cork Road.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00 to 18.00 hrs on Thursday 14th April 2022.
(Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Connection and Developer Services Works, wastewater connection.

Alternative Routes
Southbound Diversion – Drivers coming from The Mall L-7251 will be instructed to continue straight onto Winters Hill L-9747 here they will turn left onto the Compass Hill L-7251 where an end detour sign will be located. Local access will be permitted at the junction of Compass Hill L-7251 and St John’s Hill L-9723 for local residents to access Compass Hill up to the works area.
Northbound Diversion is opposite to above mentioned.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:30hrs on Monday 21st March 2022 to 16.30hrs on Saturday 2nd April 2022.
(24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.

Alternative Routes
Southbound (From Drimoleague to Skibbereen) via right turn onto the L4213-0 at Bunalunn, right turn onto the L4212-0, left turn onto the L4211-0 Marsh Rd and to the roundabout on the N71 at the west end of Skibbereen By-pass. Via the N71 by-pass to town centre or the R593-93. Access to the Hospital will be maintained from the Skibbereen side only.

Northbound (From Skibbereen to Drimoleague) via the L4211 Marsh Rd from the N71 roundabout at the west end of Skibbereen town right turn onto the L4212-0, left turn onto the L4213-0 to the R593-93.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:30hrs on Monday 4th April 2022 to 16.30hrs on Saturday 16th April 2022.
(24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.

Alternative Routes
Southbound (from Drimoleague to Skibbereen) continue on R586-408 and the R586-434 as far as its junction with the R594-52 at Aughaville. Left turn onto R594-52 at Aughaville and onto R593-63 at Derreeny.

Northbound (from Skibbereen to Drimoleague) via left turn onto the R594-52 from the R593-63 at Derreeney and right turn onto the R586-434 at Aughaville and onto Drimoleague via R586-408.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
