Temporary Closing Of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6516-0 Old Post Office Road, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure 
From 08.00hrs on Monday 11th April 2022 to 18.00hrs on Wednesday13th April 2022
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the diversion of ESB Services as part of M28 Advance Works.

Alternative Routes
Traffic on N28 wishing to access locations on the Southside of the closed section of roadway should turn on to R-613-0, proceed in a southerly direction and turn left on to L-6518-0 

Traffic on L-6516, south of closed section, wishing to access the N28, should proceed in a southerly direction and turn left on to L-6518-0, proceed in an easterly direction and turn left on to L-6517-0,. They should then proceed in a northerly direction to rejoin the N28.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-34-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 16th March 2022.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
