Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

L-3414-0 Carriganine, Macroom, Co. Cork – Wood Road Junction to Miller’s Crossroads.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.30hrs on Monday 16^th May, 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 20^th May, 2022.

(Daily Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing.

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling north east: Follow R-584 east to junction with N22 at Hartnett’s Cross. Follow N22 west into South Square, Macroom. Follow L-9308 leading through Sleaveen Road and High Street and onto L-3414. The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-50-2022, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 19^th April, 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
