Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

L-2951-82 (Part of) – Killeendaniel, Whitechurch, Co. Cork

Period of Proposed Closure

From 08.00hrs on Monday 23^rd May, 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 27^th May, 2022 (24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate the Construction of a Cattle Underpass, Effluent Holding Tank and all associated works.

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling from the Cork City boundary - Follow the L-6965 northbound.

Traffic travelling from Whitechurch village - Follow the L-6965 southbound.

Traffic travelling from Carrignavar to Whitechurch - Follow the L-2960 westbound and then follow the L-6965 southbound.

Traffic travelling from Carrignavar to Whites Cross - Follow the L-2954 southbound, then continue southbound onto the L-2958.

Traffic travelling Whites Cross to Carrignavar - Follow the L-2958 northbound, then continue northbound onto the L-2954.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-49-2022, not later than 5pm on Thursday 21^st April, 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
