TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-2951, Killeendaniel to Whitechurch, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:30hrs on Monday 27th June 2022 to 17.30hrs on Friday 1st July 2022.
(Daily Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the installation of foul and storm sewer as part of the Castle Court housing development.

Alternative Routes

Northbound from Killeendaniel
When approaching Whitechurch from Killeendaniel take the L-6965 northbound at towards Whitechurch.

Southbound from Whitechurch
When travelling from Whitechurch (at the Church location) towards Killeendaniel turn right at the junction of the L-2960 and the L-2951 adjacent to Buckley’s Bar and then turn left onto the L-6965 in the direction of Killeendaniel.

When travelling from Ryefield West stay on the L-2951 and stay straight onto the L-6965 towards Killeendaniel.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-79-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 27th May 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6244-0 (Part), Garranes, Templemartin, Co. Cork – (from Glebe House Cross junction to the next road junction northwards).

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 27th June 2022 to 18:00hrs on Friday 22nd July 2022
(24hr Closure)

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate watermain construction.

Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access the L-6244-0 at Glebe House Cross, shall divert north-west along R590-55, then turn right onto L-6043-0, turn right onto the L-6244-0, to pass the road closure from the opposite side.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure where possible.

There will not be any other road closure in operation in Garrenes locus when this road closure is active.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-81-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 1st June 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday 27th June 2022 to 19.00hrs on Friday 1st July 2022.
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Filming of a Drama Series.

Alternative Routes
Heading East towards Glandore, take the L4227-29 through the village and take a left onto the L4225-0.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Prior to filming a designed Stop-Go system will be in place for up to one week and also for 3 days upon completion of filming.
The filming is weather dependent and will be carried out over a number of days during the Temporary Road Closure period and at other times the road will remain open.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-77-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 1st June 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs (daily closure) from Thursday, 23rd June 2022 to Thursday, 30th June 2022.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the Filming of a Drama Series.

Alternative Routes
There is no alternative route available as it is a cul-de-sac road.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Prior to filming a designed Stop-Go system will be in place for up to one week and also for 3 days upon completion of filming.

Filming is weather dependent and will be carried out over a number of days during the Temporary Road Closure period and at other times the road will remain open.

From 08:00hrs on Monday 25th July 2022 to 18:0 hrs on Friday 26th August 2022.
(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate watermain construction.

Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access the L-6243-0 at Aghamorroge Cross Roads, shall divert north onto L-6240-0, turn left onto L-6239-0, continue onto L-6244-0 & L-6245-0 to approach the closed road from the opposite side.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure where possible.

There will not be any other road closure in operation in Moneens locus when this road closure is active.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-83-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 1st June 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate watermain construction.

Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access the L-6245-0 (by the grass V) shall divert south along the L-6244-0, then turn left onto R590-55, turn left onto L-2235-0, then turn left onto L-6245-0 to approach the closed road from the opposite side.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure where possible.

There will not be any other road closure in operation in Garranes locus when this road closure is active.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-82-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Wednesday 1st June 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
