TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure
LP-1041-0 Lisduggan Cross to Ballyhass National School, Ballyhass, Co. Cork.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00hrs on Monday 11th July, 2022 to 18.00hrs on Friday 2nd September, 2022. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of new watermain.

Alternative Routes
At Lisduggan Cross head towards Castlemagner Village. In the Village take the LS-5114/LS-5301 to Cecilstown Village. In Cecilstown Village turn left onto LP-1203 and continue onto the LP-1202.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-91-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 14th June 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 08.00hrs on Monday 4th July, 2022 to 18.00hrs on Friday 30th September, 2022. (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of new watermain.

Alternative Routes
Continue on the R579 towards Banteer. In Banteer Village turn right onto LP-1121 and continue to its junction with the LP-1121/LS-5332. At this junction turn right ono the LS-5332 and follow the road to Gortmore.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of new watermain.

Alternative Routes
At Ballyhass NS continue on the LP-1041 to Lisduggan Cross, turn right onto the LS-5105 Davey’s Road.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure

L-4039-0 Rossa Street/Connolly Street, Co. Cork – from its junction with the R880 Pearse Street to its junction with the N71 Casement Street.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs to 20.00hrs (Daily Closure) on Saturday 2nd July 2022.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Clonakilty Old Time Fair.

Alternative Routes
Ashe Street to Oliver Plunket Street via the L-4031-0 McCurtain Hill, L-4037-0 Old Chapel Lane and L-4040-0 Patrick Street.

Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Pipeline Construction.

Alternative Routes
From Emmet Street turn left onto the R883 over to the Park Road Junction. Turn left onto the N72 Park Road and travel along this to access Emmet Street.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure
