Temporary Closing Of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the periods and reasons specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-2986 Little Island, Co. Cork – From Island Crossroads to junction West of St. Lappan’s Church.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Tuesday 4th October 2022 to 18.00hrs on Friday the 14th of October 2022. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the resurfacing of the L-2986 road.
Alternative Routes
Approaching from the West
On approaching from the West along the R-623 Regional Road, turn left at the Crossroads along the R-623, then turn right at the junction (Circle K) and continue along the L-2985 towards St Lappan’s Church.
Approaching from the East
On approaching from Ballytrasna Park, continue along the L-2985 and turn left at the Crossroads onto the R-623 Regional Road and continue Westbound.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-162-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 9th September 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
