Temporary Closing Of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the periods and reasons specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-3619-51, Ballyvodock East Townland, Midleton, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Monday 10th October 2022 to 18:00hrs on Friday 28th October 2022. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate road resurfacing of part of the L-3619-51 at Ballyvodock East (Immediately West of Castlerock estate).
Alternative Routes
From Midleton, take the N25 westwards to Junction 4 taking the slip off to Barryscourt. Take the first exit on the roundabout at Barryscourt to the L-3612 southbound as far as it’s junction with the L-7645. Continue on the L-7645 to Rossmore crossroads, turning left onto the L-3619-0 and continuing eastwards to rejoin the L-3619-51 at Ballyvodock East Townland.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction by exiting the N25 eastbound at Junction 5 Midleton and continuing to Oatencake over bridge to rejoin the L-3619-51 at Castletrock.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-165-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 16th September 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
