Temporary Closing of Public Roads
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L5683 (Section of), Pound Lane, Kilworth, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 8.00hrs on Monday 21st November 2022 to 17.00hrs on Friday 9th December 2022.
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Connection of wastewater services to new housing development.
Alternative Routes
For traffic heading south, continue on the L1419 to Kilworth Village. Turn left on the R667.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

From 07:00hrs on Monday 21st November 2022 to 19:00hrs on Saturday 10th December 2022. (24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Irish Water Pipeline Construction.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access Well Road from the north side shall divert west along Oliver Plunkett Street, then turn left onto Casement Road, follow the road to pass the road closure from the opposite side.
Traffic intending to access Well Road from the south side shall divert onto N71 Bandon Relief Road travelling eastwards, turn left onto Parnell Street and left onto Oliver Plunkett Street, then pass the closed road from the opposite side.
Local access to Fire Station and Deal Yard Lane shall be maintained.

Period of Proposed Closure
From 8.00hrs to 18.00hrs (Daily Closure) on Monday 21st November 2022 to Tuesday 22nd November 2022.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Wastewater Connection Works.
Alternative Routes
Southbound Diversion – Drivers will be instructed to keep west on L-4240 (Convent Road/Rossa Avenue), turn left onto L-8364 (Church Road). Turn left onto L-4250 (Abbey Road). Turn left onto the N-71-806 (N71), where they will continue over the Causeway to Warren Cross. Turn left to join L-4004.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
