Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-2495-0 Church Hill, Carrigaline, Co. Cork - From Cogan’s Corner to Fosters Cross.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07.00hrs on Monday 13th February 2023 to 20.00hrs on Saturday 18th February 2023. (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate installation of Storm and Foul Pipeworks.
Alternative Routes
Traffic travelling south on Main Street wishing to access locations south of the proposed closure area should turn left on to Strand Road (L-2547) and proceed in an easterly direction to join the R612 (Crosshaven Road). They should then turn right onto L-7300 (Cherry Blossom Road) and proceed in a southerly direction to its junction with Ferney Road. Then turn right and proceed in a westerly direction to the junction with Fosters Cross.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
Objections
Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-205-2022, not later than 5.00pm on Friday 23rd December 2022. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
