ROAD WORKS SPEED LIMIT ORDER 

County Cork – N71 Glasslinn Road Pavement Strengthening Scheme – between Bandon and Innishannon, Co. Cork.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in exercise of the powers vested under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, as amended, and in the interests of road safety, Cork County Council has made a Road Works Speed Limit Order as detailed below:

Existing speed limit (KPH): 60/100km/h

Temporary speed limit to apply instead of the existing speed limit (KPH): 60km/h

Location where temporary speed limit is to apply:

N71 – between Bandon and Innishannon. In both directions from the existing 60/100km/hr speed limit sign at the approach to Bandon Town on Glasslinn Road to a point 3km east at Dundaniel (from Easting 550100, Northing 555350 to Easting 552839, Northing 557231).

Period for which temporary speed limit will apply: From Thursday, 7th of July 2022 to Friday, 30th of September 2022 or such earlier date as may be determined by Cork County Council.

The purpose of the temporary speed limit is to facilitate the safety of roadworkers and traffic for the duration of the N71 Glasslinn Road Pavement Strengthening Scheme.
