Cork County Older People’s Council AGM Celebrates Remarkable Achievements and Welcomes New Leadership

Cork County Older People’s Council (OPC) hosted their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, at the Kingsley Hotel. This event, welcomed over 100 attendees, including distinguished representatives from Age Friendly Ireland, Irish Hospice, Local Link, HSE Community Workers, Cultural Companions, Vodafone Hi Digital, ALONE, and Cork County Libraries.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Frank O’Flynn has officially opened Bandon’s new state-of-the-art playground. A vibrant new family-oriented space for the community, Bandon Play Park includes embankment slides, a wheelchair-accessible roundabout and sensory play panels.

Cork County Council Unveils New Year-round Outdoor Dining Facilities for Bantry

Cork County Council has announced the successful completion of new European-style permanent outdoor dining facilities in Bantry town centre. The facilities, funded by Fáilte Ireland under the ‘Local Authority Weatherproofing and Outdoor Dining Infrastructure’ scheme, will greatly enhance the dining experience for residents and visitors alike.
