Following advice from the HSE the Advisory Notice for bathers placed at Youghal Front Strand has been removed today 21st of August 2019.  The notice was put in place on Friday last, the 16th August 2019 due to a Storm Water Overflow from the local Waste Water Network.  A sample taken since the notice was put in place has shown the water quality to be excellent.  


Following advice from the HSE the Prohibition Notice in place for bathers placed at the shore on the eastern side of Whiddy near the Ferry Quay  has been removed today 21st of August 2019.  The notice was put in place on the 8th of August 2019 after elevated bacteria were detected in samples taken at the beach.  Several samples taken since have shown the water quality to be excellent.
