Proposed Active Travel Measures (Footpaths), Station Road, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, Cork County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to provide new sections of footpath within the existing public roadway at two separate locations on Station Road, Carrigtwohill. This will provide greater capacity for walking and footpath connectivity to Carrigtwohill Railway Station. The proposals include for the alteration of the existing signalised junction at the Railway Station and one way shuttle operation at two locations on Station Road.

Drawings and particulars indicating the proposals are available for inspection at Cork County Council, Cobh Municipal District Office, Carrig House, Spy Hill, Cobh, Co. Cork, P24 CH02.

It may be inspected during normal office hours from Friday 19th April 2024 to Friday 3rd May 2024 inclusive.

Submissions regarding the proposal may be made via email to hiit@corkcoco.ie or in writing to the Senior Executive Engineer, Housing Infrastructure Implementation Team, Cork County Council, Floor 3, County Hall, Carrigrohane Road, Cork, T12 R2NC on, or before, 5 pm on Friday, 3rd May 2024.

Please include the Section 38 project title (as per the above notice) on all submissions and correspondence sent to Cork County Council relating to this project. It should be noted that the Freedom of Information Act applies to all records held by Cork County Council.
