N/M20 Cork to Limerick Project - Preferred Transport Solution Public Display

  Limerick City and County Council is progressing the development of the N/M20 Cork to Limerick project in partnership with Cork County Council, Cork City Council, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the Department of Transport. The project is a priority investment in the Government’s National Development Plan 2021-2030. A consultation process was held in late 2020 / early 2021, that received significant public feedback on a number of road-based and rail-based options proposed and the active travel strategy.

(Bilingual) Cork County Council Announces the County Cork Commemorations Grant and Heritage Grant Schemes 2022

Cork County Council is today announcing the opening of the County Cork Commemorations Grant Scheme and the County Cork Heritage Grant Scheme for 2022. These schemes seek to recognise the unrivalled heritage of the county, the numerous groups who actively engage with their local heritage, and the many groups dedicated to commemorating the centenary of the War of Independence and Civil War.

New Kanturk Library Official Opens with self-service kiosk

The Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Gillian Coughlan has officially opened the new Kanturk Library. Situated in Market Square in the heart of Kanturk town, this user-friendly facility replaces the old mobile library bus in the mart and will be open 40 hours a week through lunch and have three staff.

Cork County Council’s Library Service to Mark International Women’s Day

Cork County Council’s Library Service have a series of events on offer to mark this year’s International Women’s Day which takes place on Tuesday 8th March 2022. Libraries throughout the county will be organising book and information displays, as well as some special events aimed at celebrating and supporting women.
