Cork County Council was proud to host a civic reception in honour of Jim Murphy to acknowledge and celebrate his lifelong commitment to his hometown Passage West. The Civic reception was hosted by Carrigaline Municipal District on Tuesday 4th October 2022 in County Hall.

Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Danny Collins has welcomed the announcement that funding of €100,000 has been awarded under the Shared Island Local Authority Development Fund to progress a feasibility study for the ‘Four Points of the Island’ project. Cork County Council has been successful in securing funding of €108,000 under the Waste Enforcement Regional Lead Authority (WERLA) Anti-Dumping Initiative 2022.  The funding will support 18 diverse projects that aim to tackle illegal dumping in Cork County.

Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Office South Cork is inviting schools to sign up for this year’s Student Enterprise Programme.  Now in its 21st year, over 300,000 students have taken part in Ireland’s largest enterprise programme for second level students, learning how to create a business idea, before starting and growing their business.
