Athoscailt Oifigiúil Leabharlann Oileán Chléire á Ceiliúradh

Tá Leabharlann Oileán Chléire athoscailte go hoifigiúil ag Méara Chontae Chorcaí, an Clr Joe Carroll agus Príomhfheidhmeannach Chomhairle Contae Chorcaí, Moira Murrell. Bhí ról lárnach ag an leabharlann i saol an oileáin le blianta fada, ó bunaíodh den chéad uair i 1978 í sa Halla Glas, an tInbhear.

Leabharlann Oileán Chléire Celebrates Official Reopening

Leabharlann Oileán Chléire has been officially reopened by Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Joe Carroll and Chief Executive of Cork County Council, Moira Murrell. The library, originally founded in 1978 in The Halla Glas, South Harbour, has played a pivotal role in island life for decades.

Cork County Council update on Status Orange Rain Warning - UPDATE 7:45PM

A Status Orange Met Eireann Rainfall Warning remains in effect with significant amounts of rainfall being experienced across the county. Up to 65mm of rain has been recorded in some locations over the past 12 hours. Cork County Council’s Crisis Management Team convened twice today and is scheduled to meet again tonight to assess the impact of these conditions.

Cork County Council Update in Advance of Orange Weather Warning

Cork County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team convened this evening following the issuing of a Met Éireann Status Orange Rainfall Warning for Cork.  The Status Orange warning comes into effect at 00:00am on Saturday the 5th of October and remains in place until 11:00pm on Saturday evening.
