Exhibition Celebrating our Clothing Heritage Opens at Kinsale Library

An inspiring new exhibition that explores Ireland’s rich textile heritage will open in Kinsale Library on the 17th of April. The exhibition ‘A Stitch in Time: The Clothes We Wore, The Future We Weave’ revisits practices from the past to inspire a more sustainable future.

Creative Places West Cork Islands, Ocean and Environment Commission

Cork County Council has announced Eóin Heaney as the winner of its Ocean and Environment Commission. Supported by Creative Places West Cork Islands, the commission will see the acclaimed filmmaker undertake an 18-month residency across the seven inhabited West Cork islands.

Call for Artists for Clonakilty Public Art Scheme

Cork County Council and the OPW, under the State’s Per Cent for Arts Scheme, have announced a call for submissions for a public art commission as part of the Clonakilty Flood Relief Scheme. 
Per Cent for Art is a government initiative where 1% of the cost of any publicly funded capital, infrastructural and building development can be allocated to the commissioning of a work of art.
