Tá clár Chruinniú na nÓg 2024 fógartha ag Leabharlann agus Seirbhís Ealaíon Chomhairle Contae Chorcaí, ina bhfuil sé beartaithe os cionn 30 imeacht cruthaitheach a reáchtáil ar fud an chontae ar an Satharn, an 15 Meitheamh. Tá clár na bliana seo uathúil mar gheall gurb iad leanaí Chorcaí féin agus iadsan is mó beagnach a chuir an clár i dtoll a chéile. 

Cork County Council’s Library and Arts Service has announced the 2024 Cruinniú na nÓg programme, with over 30 creative events planned across the county on Saturday the 15th of June. This year’s programme is unique in that it was almost entirely programmed by the children of Cork themselves.

Cork County Council has confirmed that five community groups will represent County Cork at the 2024 IPB Pride of Place Awards, in association with Co-operation Ireland. Now in its 22nd consecutive year, the competition acknowledges the work undertaken every day by communities all over the island of Ireland. 

Cork County Council’s Local Community Development Committees (LCDC’s) for North, South and West Cork have announced their combined list of projects that will be awarded funding from the LCDC Local Enhancement Programme and Women’s Group Fund 2024.  

A new outdoor Amphitheatre in Skibbereen and an upgraded walkway in Clonakilty have been officially opened to the public. The projects spearheaded by Cork County Council demonstrate a commitment to enriching community spaces for residents and visitors alike.

Cork County Council is thrilled to invite all families to a spectacular Free Family Fun Day at Mallow Castle on May 6th from 1 pm to 4 pm. This exciting event promises a delightful day of entertainment and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys and Minister of State, Joe O’Brien have announced a further €50 million in funding under the Community Recognition Fund 2024. Cork County Council will receive an allocation of €2,014,691 under the fund.

Secondary schools from all over County Cork gathered at Fota Wildlife Park’s newly established Education, Conservation and Research Centre on 10th April 2024 for the regional ‘Rubbish Film Festival Awards’, an event dedicated to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability through the powerful medium of film.

Cork County Council held the official launch of its Local Economic and Community Plan 2024-2030. The development of this plan has been a collaborative effort between Cork County Council, its economic and community stakeholders and the citizens of Cork County.  

Cork County Council is proud to support the Re-launch of the Healthy Age Friendly Homes Programme, a service available to residents of County Cork aimed at supporting adults over 65 to remain living in their own homes and communities.
