Passage West Library

While Cork County Council Libraries are closed due to Level 5 restrictions you can still access the online services: e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, e-newspapers, online courses and language learning courses.

Wednesday, 10.00 am - 1.00 pm & 2.00 pm - 5.30 pm.

Thursday, 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm.

Friday, 10.00 am - 1.00 pm & 2.00 pm - 5.30 pm.

Saturday, 10.00 am - 1.00 pm & 2.00 pm - 5.30 pm.

Closed Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.

Closed Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.

Passage West Library offers fiction and non-fiction books for lending to adults and children, including books on tape.

The following newspapers are available for viewing in the library: The Irish Examiner, The Echo, and The Carrigdhoun. Currently unavailable due to Covid-19 restrictions.


Internet Access - Currently unavailable due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Internet access is available on two PCs. Advance booking for this service is advisable. Wi-Fi for members is also available.

The Readers Group meets on the second Thursday of every month at 11 am.

The local craft group meets in the library on Thursdays, from 2.30 pm - 4 pm. All crafts are catered for, but particularly knitting, crochet, and Swiss darning.

The library displays an ongoing photographic exhibition of local interest.

The library hosts events on a seasonal basis throughout the year to celebrate St. Brigid's Festival, the Children's Book Festival, Bealtaine and so on.
