Opening Hours
Tuesday to Saturday: 9.30am - 5.30pm.
Closed Mondays.
Closed Saturday of Bank Holiday Weekends.

Skibbereen Library offers a wide range of books, audiobooks and DVDs for children, teenagers and adults. We have a collection of reference books, including a local history collection, for use within the library.
E-books, E-audio books and E-magazines are also available to library members.
We have a collection of self-help books and CDs available in the library which have been recommended by HSE psychologists and other health professionals.
Newspapers and a selection of magazines are available to read within the library. The library holds a complete hardcopy set of 1842 Ordnance Survey Maps for County Cork.
Public toilet available.
Internet Access
Internet access is available on public computers.. A valid library card must be presented to use this service.
Wi-Fi is also available for library members.
A range of online subscription resources can be accessed on our three internet PCs.
Some of these can also be accessed on PCs outside the library using a valid library card.
Remote Printing
You can now print remotely to the printer in Skibbereen library. You can print from your tablet or smartphone, from your home computer or laptop. Then collect your prints from a staff member at the library by the close of business the following day. Exception: Any print job sent on a Saturday will need to be collected that day.
A4 black and white is €0.15 per page.
A4 colour is €0.60 per page.

2.) From Tablet or Smartphone:
- Download the Princh App from Google Play Store or iTunes App Store.
- Open the App and follow the instructions.

Photocopying
Photocopying is available in Black and White and Colour.
- A4 black and white - €0.15 per page.
- A4 colour - €0.60 per page.
- A3 black and white - €0.30 per page.
- A3 colour - €1.20 per page.
Events
Creative Writing Group meets on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
Our Two Book Clubs meet once a month each. Check with the library for details.
The Library Knitting Group meets every Wednesday morning from 10:30 am.
We hold talks, exhibitions and workshops throughout the year including Summer Arts for Children and Children's Book Festival in October.
Class visits are welcomed and encouraged. Booking is advised.
We participate in a number of local and national festivals, including Bealtaine, Library Ireland Week and Skibbereen Lifelong Learning Festival.
Directions to the library
From Cork, take the N71 via Bandon, Clonakilty and Leap. At the entry roundabout to Skibbereen, take the first left for the town centre. The Library is situated on the right of North Street just after the Church Car Park, across the road from the Sutherland Centre.
From Baltimore, take the first left for the town centre at the Castletownsend roundabout. Follow the one-way system up Townsend Street. Turn right onto Main Street. Turn left at the square for North Street. The Library is situated on the left at the end of North Street opposite the West Cork Arts Centre.
The nearest parking is in the Church Car Park directly opposite the Cathedral.
