Cadogans Strand

Bathing Status: Green Coast

Cadogan's Strand is located in a small inlet in the North East corner of Schull Harbour approx. 500m east of Schull Town, which is approximately 24km west of Skibbereen. The beach is a south facing, sandy/shingle beach, approximately 200m in length.

It is a well sheltered beach due to its location at the northern end of Schull Harbour. There is a small island in the centre of the beach which is accessible at low tide. Schull Harbour is a sheltered harbour of approx. 2km2 in area & forms part of Roaringwater Bay.

The beach is bounded to the rear on the western side by a concrete wall & the public road. There is an amenity park area with picnic area, a slip way for small water craft, and car parking, adjoining the beach to the west.
